Winter Fishing Woes
Winter is upon us. Many of you have put up your fishing gear and decided to hibernate for the winter. What you don’t understand is that you are missing out on one of the best seasons of the year. By understanding how fish work in particular seasons and adjusting your technique, you can fish all year long. One tip I like to give those who have given up on the hard winter season is to try a darker colored lure. Fish are typically more lethargic in the winter time and don’t respond as well to bright colors. Try fishing with darker colors. Also, in addition to darker colors try fishing in deeper water. The cooler weather makes the fish go deeper than they would normally in a warmer season.
